Nintendo NX To Appeal To Gamers & Casuals; “People Who Like Games Nor Moms” Shouldn’t Dislike It
With the Nintendo NX, Nintendo aims to appeal to both gamers and casuals who haven't played much.
Judging from a recent interview from Nikkei Trendy with Shinya Takahashi, General Manager of Nintendo Entertainment Planning & Development, Nintendo will be taking the same management with the NX as what it did with the original Wii – releasing a platform to can appeal to multiple audiences instead of merely gamers.
"I tin't talk about this in detail yet, but we are aiming so that neither people who like games nor moms dislike it. I think that I want to release a game device that both customers who have much experience in gaming and customers who haven't played much tin can enjoy greatly", Takahashi said.
Nintendo'due south general manager as well talked about software development for the upcoming Nintendo NX, and how the company is making efforts to avoid software shortages.
"We are paying attention to that. Having said that, information technology isn't about drastically increasing the amount of development staff. To be specific, software evolution teams and teams that create the development surround are thinking about the NX lineup together. For instance, a software development team may take a request 'if we had this library, so development would progress apace'. Teams creating the development environment answer to that by because 'if we prepare an surround similar this, and so development will go smoothly', and they actually discuss with evolution teams and hear their opinions and prioritize those things. We have built a stronger cooperative human relationship compared to what is was before and are making efforts so that software can be developed smoothly."
Recent reports claim that the NX will exist a hybrid-panel, and will be using NVIDIA'south Tegra SoC. Nintendo has yet to officially unveil the Nintendo NX, only the visitor has stated that more than about the new console will exist revealed subsequently this year.
The NX is expected to exist released after in March 2022.
